Safe Sport Education & Resources

The Commit to Kids program helps child-serving organizations reduce the risk of sexual abuse and create safer environments for children in their care.

*This course is required for all BCRSGF Board members and staff.

NCCP Making Head Way in Sport is a free online learning tool designed to help coaches gain the knowledge and skills required to ensure the safety of their athletes.

Parents, coaches, and athletes all benefit from knowing as much as possible about concussions.

Safe Sport Related Courses

For sport experiences to be positive they need to be safe. The B.C. Universal Code of Conduct's purpose is to set standards for the culture of sport in B.C. Any violations of the Code are subject to review and disciplinary procedures according to the respective sport organization’s policy.

Created as a legacy of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, viaSport British Columbia acts as the Province’s lead agency to steward the growth and development of amateur sport in BC.

The Province of BC and ViaSport have partnered to create this initiative focused on prevention and awareness, complaint reporting, response management and compliance in amateur sport in BC.

The Canadian Abuse-Free Sport Helpline is a free, anonymous, confidential and independent service in both official languages. You can reach us by phone, text or email.

The Helpline is there to provide assistance, advice and resources on how to proceed/intervene appropriately under the circumstances.
